Penn State Psychiatry
Education & Training
The Department of Psychiatry at Penn State College of Medicine takes pride in providing world-class education and training to psychiatry residents, medical students, and our community.

We offer a fully accredited four-year residency training program in general psychiatry.  For those residents interested in further training, we also offer a two-year residency in child and adolescent psychiatry.  Post doctoral fellowships in sleep disorders, anxiety disorders and neuroimaging are also offered.

Our Department is also responsible for teaching medical students during their four years at Penn State College of Medicine.

Last year over 20,000 individuals in the central Pennsylvania area participated in community education and training programs.  We welcome your interest in learning more about us.
